I am not happy to admit that I am old enough to have seen and clearly remember the original Star Trek TV series starring a then young William Shatner – and I've been a huge fan ever since. There was just something special about Star Trek. Sure, the special effects of the day and often cheesy dialogue might not have been up to scratch but one couldn't help getting invested in the characters. Plus, as an unabashed gadget freak – if it plugs in or takes a battery I want one – I have always loved the futuristic tech which has played a large part in the Star Trek TV shows and movies.

If the trailer is anything to go, this latest movie in the franchise could be the best yet:

Microsoft has been sending a never ending wave of update nags to Windows 7 users, and in some cases Windows 10 has been installed automatically....
