Car thefts occur all over the country, in every major metropolitan area, as well as in rural areas. But in some cities, auto thefts are much more prevalent. According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau's 2015 Hot Spots Vehicle Theft Report, these major metro areas had the lowest rates of car theft last year.
